Two Retreats Close to Downtowns

If you like wilderness of the retreat, but wouldn't mind to be not more than 20 min away from the downtown, here are two retreats for you, one 20 min from downtown Palo Alto and another 15 min from downtown Santa Rosa.

Wecome to Bay Area Retreats

Do you realize that within 1 to 2 hr drive from just about any places around the Bay area you can find secluded homes often on  30-40+ acres of land? Moreover, you might find more than one property on a piece of land. A main house plus a cabin or two or a main house and a smaller, service house. Prices depend of course on specific location and on the type of the property they "hide". You might pay less than $300k for 1500 to 2000 sq.f. homes in Sonoma, Napa, Livermore, Morgan Hill or Monterey areas. Properties with 4000 to 5000 sq.f. might sell for slightly above $1M and of course you can find "luxury treasures" overlooking the Big Sur coast or providing commanding views of Napa hills for several or more millions. In short, you can find a retreat just in any price range you might be looking for. The same about the ambiance, be it ponds, lakes, hills, mountains, woods or winery.
